Hyundai HD48 GT is a robust, fully-equipped modern PUV

Hyundai Asia Resources, Inc. (HARI) expands its modern public utility vehicle lineup with the addition of the HD48 GT modern PUV.

The HD48 is expected to build on Hyundai’s success in the modernization of the transport sector, HARI said. This year, the distributor sold over 100 units of its modern PUVs to transport cooperatives nationwide, helping advance mass mobility in Ilocos Norte, Pangasinan, Tarlac, Cavite, Bulacan, and Tacloban, to name a few.

Made from high-tensile steel, the HD48 GT boasts of a lightweight structure that’s flexible enough to withstand the twists and turns of punishing drives.

The HD48 GT uses Hyundai’s quality chassis platform and boasts of a robust design brought to life by Filipino craftsmanship. It has also been duly certified as compliant by the Philippine National Standards (PNS) for shape, size, dimensions, and other stringent specifications to ensure safety, comfort, and reliability.

It is powered by a Euro 4-rated 2.9-liter turbodiesel engine (158hp and 392Nm), which is paired to a five-speed manual transmission. To keep it running smoothly and give you peace of mind, the vehicle comes with a three-year/100,000km warranty.

The HD48 GT has room for up to 22 people (plus driver) and has provision for 8 to 10 standing passengers. Even if you factor in safety protocols and social distancing, this much space can accommodate more passengers.

For convenience and safety, the vehicle comes with an Automated Fare Collection System (AFCS), CCTV, GPS tracker, 7-inch monitor, LED signage, Wi-Fi module, and programmable speed warning buzzer to keep the vehicle cruising safely on the road.

It’s also equipped with a redesigned side mirror bracket for better visibility, grab handles and rear stanchion for handrail stability, a roof drip that prevents overflow of rainwater at the sliding windows, double walling and insulation for less noise and better heat insulation, high-cooling roof-mounted air-conditioning system, and an electric door.
