At Apple’s Unleashed event, the company announced that the HomePod mini will be available in three bold new colors—yellow, orange, and blue. These will join the original space gray and white versions, and will cost $99, like their counterparts.
The new speakers will have color-matched details throughout, including the tinted touch surface, the fabric mesh, volume icons, and the woven power cable. They will be available in November.

The 3.3-inch-tall smart speaker uses computational audio to provide a rich and detailed acoustic experience even in such a compact form factor. The Apple S5 chip runs advanced software to analyze the unique characteristics of the music and applies complex tuning models to optimize loudness, adjust the dynamic range, and control the movement of the driver and passive radiators.
HomePod mini makes it easier to control smart home accessories via simple voice commands to Siri. There’s even an intercom feature that allows you to send an intercom message from one HomePod mini to another—whether in a different room, a specific zone, or multiple rooms throughout the home.

The HomePod mini will work with the new Apple Music Voice Plan, which Apple also announced at the event. This is a cheaper subscription tier for Apple Music designed around the power of Siri, at $4.99 per month.
It offers access to the service’s catalog of 90 million songs, tens of thousands of playlists, as well as Apple Music Radio.
The Apple Music Voice Plan will be available later this year in 17 countries and regions, including Australia, Austria, Canada, China, France, Germany, Hong Kong, India, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Mexico, New Zealand, Spain, Taiwan, the United Kingdom, and the United States. No word yet on its availability in the Philippines.
