Razer releases sweat-absorbing finger sleeves for mobile gaming

Earlier this year, we reported that Razer is developing a futuristic N95 respirator called Project Hazel. This week, the gaming lifestyle brand has just dropped a new gaming accessory that’s similarly off-the-wall: the Razer Gaming Finger Sleeve.

Launched during the RazerStore Live event on Sept. 14, the finger gloves are designed to help you keep your “grip on the game” despite having sweaty digits.

The sleeves are made out of 35% silver fiber fabric, 60% nylon, and 5% spandex to fit any finger and work on any smartphone touch screen.

“Woven with highly conductive silver fiber, each sleeve enhances touch sensitivity and response while reducing friction, ensuring an agile, intuitive gaming experience for maximum accuracy,” Razer wrote on its website.

It is made lightweight and breathable, with each sleeve measuring 2 inches long and only 0.8 mm thin. “The airy, sweat-absorbent sleeves keep your fingers dry and cool for total comfort, allowing you to game at peak performance for hours, and are hand-washable for regular use,” the company added.

The Razer Gaming Finger Sleeve joins Razer’s line of radical products, including its N95 smart respirator, which is slated for release in Q4 this year as “Razer Zephyr.” According to a report by the PCMag, Razer also unveiled a pair of gaming glasses for children designed to mitigate blue-light, glare, and eye-strain during its event last Tuesday.

The finger sleeves are now retailing at $9.99 or approximately P500 on Razer.com.
