LTO is testing a 24/7 vehicle crime-tracking app called CitiSend

The Land Transportation Office (LTO) is conducting a pilot test of a 24/7 vehicle crime-tracking mobile app called CitiSend.

The software aims to streamline the reporting of lost or carnapped motor vehicles, stolen motor vehicle license plates, and sale or disposal of previously-registered motor vehicles to LTO’S recently-created Central Command Center (C3).

C3 is in its dry run along with the CitiSend mobile app. Reports submitted on the portal are reviewed by the center’s trained dispatch officers, who must forward the data to the nearest LTO office for immediate action.

CitiSend is now available for download on Google Play Store and only accepts three types of reports as of the moment:

  • Lost or stolen vehicles
  • Stolen motor vehicle plate
  • Sale or disposal of previously registered or stolen vehicles

The app will start attending to car registration queries and other incident reports, including hit and run, illegal parking, number coding violations, reckless driving, riding-in-tandem, use of fake or stolen license plates, and other vehicle-related emergencies once it is available to the general public.

Apart from the CitiSend app, motorists can get in touch with C3 through its hotline, 1-342-586.
