Gather up, home junkies. IKEA is throwing its first-ever 24-hour “home tour around the world” this month.
The daylong event, called IKEA Festival, will stream live on IKEA.com/festival in more than 50 markets worldwide on September 16. It will feature a heap of artists, musicians, designers, chefs, and creators performing in living rooms, kitchens, bedrooms, and backyards in over 100 homes across the globe.
According to IKEA’s press release, the festival will be broken down into various engaging “Festival room sets.” “My Home Turf” will take you on a tour in the different cities and neighborhoods of artists, including MØ, Kanis, Niki, and Masego. “Home cooking” is for culinarians looking to be inspired to whip up new favorites from renowned chefs such as Paul Svensson and Pasta Queen.
There will also be home concerts, as well as a “DJ Relay” where DJs, including Kaytranada, Loraine James, and ZULI, will treat you to a marathon of club music. “IKEA News” will spotlight the people behind the brand and its collaborators, including fashion designer Virgil Abloh.
Not to be overlooked by gamers, the IKEA Festival will also give a look into the new IKEA gaming range. And, of course, there will be home visits and home makeovers for the interior design aficionados.
IKEA Festival will start streaming at 8 a.m. CET (4 p.m. Philippine time) on Thursday, September 16. Anyone can access it for free without having to register their details.
