Check out the features you can expect from the Nissan Terra

Nissan Philippines has officially introduced the new Terra, an update of the midsize SUV launched in our country three years ago.

While it’s merely a facelift, the changes in the exterior are pretty substantial. The redesigned front fascia now gets a large V-motion grille and new quad LED headlights with integrated C-shaped LED daytime running lights.

At the back, there’s a pair of redesigned LED taillights, a new chrome trim on the tailgate, an updated spoiler design, and a new shark-fin antenna.

The new Terra sits on 18-inch alloy wheels and is available in six colors: Nebula Metallic Red, Forged Metallic Copper, Aspen Pearl White, Lunar Metallic Gray, Brilliant Silver, and Galaxy Black.

The Terra’s dashboard is clad in leather and houses a 7-inch multi-info display and an 8- or 9-inch infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay (wireless Apple CarPlay for the VL 4×4 and 4×2). The two VL models also get an 11-inch flip-down rear monitor and wireless charging, while the top-spec VL 4×4 boasts of an 8-speaker Bose sound system.

The new Nissan Terra retains the 2.5-liter YD25 DDTi turbodiesel engine from the previous model. It’s capable of 187hp and 450Nm, and is mated to either a six-speed manual or a seven-speed automatic with manual mode.

The VL 4×4 and VL 4×2 get rear disc brakes, while the VE 4×2 and EL 4×2 get rear drum brakes. All four variants are equipped with front ventilated discs.

The 7-seater SUV also now packs more Nissan Intelligent Mobility features than the previous model. Aside from the Lane Departure Warning, Blind Spot Warning, and Intelligent Rear View Monitor from the previous model, the new Terra now also has Intelligent Forward Collision Warning, Intelligent Emergency Braking, and Rear Cross-Traffic Alert. These features combine into the 360 Safety Shield, a 360-degree safety system which helps protect both the driver and passengers from potential risks approaching the vehicle.

Here are the prices of the four variants of the Nissan Terra:

  • VL 4×4 AT – P2,339,000
  • VL 4×2 AT – P1,999,000
  • VE 4×2 AT – P1,829,000
  • EL 4×2 MT – P1,649,000
