Nestflix is a Netflix for made-up movies and shows

Ever wondered what’s it like to actually watch the shows that your favorite TV characters keep talking about in their own show? A new website, called Nestflix, is here to to give you a sneak peek of what could be.

As the name suggests, Nestflix is a parody of Netflix created by US-based web designer Lynn Fisher. While the website cannot stream the actual movies or shows you wish were real, it provides you with an impressive, comprehensive look of what those fake shows would look like if they were indeed real—in the same way Netflix does for its content.

Fisher launched Nestflix in a tweet on Wednesday, Aug. 11, and described it as a mere “wiki doing some cosplay.” But visiting the site will show you otherwise. Nestlifx is packed with 400 fake TV show and movie listings that are extremely detailed. As IGN notes, each entry offers a synopsis of the title, stills, and where your chosen fictional content originally appeared.

The website houses made-up series like “Opal”—The Simpsons’ version of Oprah Winfrey’s long-running talk show—as well as Bart and Lisa Simpsons’ favorite “Krusty the Klown Show.” Nestflix also features—sort of—one season of “Mac & C.H.E.E.S.E.” where Joey Tribbiani of Friends portrayed a hero named Mac Machiavelli.

Another Nestflix-exclusive is the imaginary film “Star Trek XII: So Very Tired” featuring the OG cast from the franchise’s 1989 film. It also has classics like Angels with Filthy Souls—that one movie that appears in 1991’s Home Alone.

If you want to have a good laugh or simply be entertained, you can browse Nestflix here. You can also submit a show or movie you think the site it’s still missing.
