Those wanting to step into the world of big bike riding or planning to switch to big bikes, listen up! Honda Philippines announced that they will start offering free test rides for their big bikes starting in October.
The test rides will be held exclusively at the world-class Honda Safety Driving Center (HSDC) in Parañaque. Honda will let customers test the Big Bike Adventure series, including the all-new X-ADV and the new Africa Twin.
The all-new X-ADV blends the balance and stability of a scooter with the toughness of an off-road motorcycle. It is powered by a 745cc twin-cylinder engine with dual clutch transmission. It comes with a 5-inch LCD digital meter panel and Honda Smartphone Voice Control System (HSVCS), which links the rider to their smartphone while on the road.
Meanwhile, the new Africa Twin is powered by an all-new 1,084cc 4-stroke parallel-twin engine paired to a 6-speed transmission.
Those who want to avail of the test ride must first register online. Honda Philippines will post the link to its official Facebook page this month. After filling out the forms with the necessary information and selecting the exact date you want to do the test ride, you will receive a confirmation via private message in September. The test ride activities for Honda Big Bike will start in October.
For now, the schedules will be on weekends only and are subject to the community quarantine status in Metro Manila.
Confirmed participants must comply with HSDC requirements, adhering to the safety protocols set by the IATF. In this case, they need to submit a medical certificate or a PCR negative test result for COVID-19. The test ride is also limited to eight participants per day to ensure that everyone can practice social distancing and observe proper sanitation.
