Applying for a job in e-commerce can be a daunting task, with all the intricacies of this highly digital industry. Yet it can be done—and with ease—if you’re backed by the right partner who will provide you with the necessary experience and skills to ace the field.
One of these is e-commerce giant Shopee that is now calling enthusiastic and young Filipino talents to join its Global Leaders Program (GLP) scheduled for February 2022.
Shopee’s GLP is a two-year graduate program that provides participants with immersive training and in-depth mentorships covering various topics related to e-commerce, such as business development, operations, business intelligence, product management, and marketing, among others.
It consists of four six-month local and overseas rotations, which will teach participants how to create campaigns and drive sales while working with fellow GLP associates from across Southeast Asia.
According to Jan and Lance, two of GLP’s current participants, this holistic program is a great opportunity to hone their skills and understand the e-commerce industry better.
“GLP is a great training ground to become a better problem solver. Not only do we get to analyze and solve real business problems, there are also many resources available to us. I personally enjoy the GLP training and gatherings wherein we get to hear from GLPs from other countries,” Jan shared.
Lance added, “I’ve always been interested in technology and startups, especially startups that create a new business model and innovation that is grounded on a new perspective or set of values. I wanted to join GLP because I felt it was a great opportunity to develop key leadership and problem-solving skills, while also getting exposure to tech-related businesses and the world of startups.”
Students who are in their final year in college or fresh graduates with up to two years of working experience are eligible to apply for the program.
Those who would like to qualify for the February 2022 program must send their applications on Shopee’s career website by October 30, 2021.
