Third-gen AirPods feature new design, now water- and sweat-resistant

The long-rumored third-gen AirPods are finally official.

The new AirPods have the same open design (no silicone ear tips) as their predecessors but are now shaped like the AirPods Pro. They also have shorter microphone stems, with the same force sensors as the AirPods Pro for controlling playback with a pinch.

Apple has also improved the battery life of the AirPods; they now last up to six hours on a single charge instead of five at moderate volume levels. The new AirPods Pro-like charging case with MagSafe charging.

Acoustically, the AirPods now have all-new custom drivers, spatial audio with dynamic head tracking, HD voice quality for FaceTime, and an adaptive EQ system to optimize sound quality.

These earbuds are also water- and sweat-resistant with IPX4 certification.

The Apple Philippines website lists the 3rd-gen AirPods at P10,990.
