Launched along with the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold3 5G and Galaxy Z Flip3 5G in last Wednesday’s Unpacked event is the new Galaxy Buds2. It is the latest addition to Samsung’s true wireless lineup following the Galaxy Buds Pro and Galaxy Buds Live.
The Galaxy Buds2 is designed with a comfortable fit to last you throughout the day while providing premium sound quality so you can immerse yourself in the moment, wherever you are. It is 15 percent smaller and 20 percent lighter (5g per earbud) than the Buds Pro. In fact, Samsung said the Galaxy Buds2 is the brand’s smallest and lightest earbuds yet.
It sports the line’s iconic curved shape that features a glossy finish shinier than its predecessors. It comes in four contemporary colors—graphite, white, olive, and online-exclusive lavender—inside a white clamshell case with highlights corresponding to the earbuds’ color.
The Galaxy Buds 2 makes the perfect companion to your Galaxy smartphone, tablet, or smartwatch. The dynamic two-way speakers with woofer and tweeter deliver crisp, clear high notes and deep bass. Unlike previous models, it is built with Active Noise Cancellation helps block out unwanted noise.
If you need to hear your surroundings, simply tune back in with three adjustable ambient sound levels. In addition, your voice will be clearer on calls, thanks to a new, machine learning-based solution that filters out a variety of distracting background noises.
The earbuds are powered by a 61mAh battery, which can last for up to five hours of continuous playback with noise cancellation enabled. Turning off the ANC can keep the Buds2 going for 7.5 hours and 20 hours when charged in the case equipped with a 472mAh battery.
The Galaxy Buds2 comes with a P6,990 price tag, which is cheaper than the Galaxy Buds Live (P7,990) and Galaxy Buds Pro (P9,990). It will be available on Samsung.com/ph by September 22. Those who will preorder the Buds2 along with the Galaxy Watch4 or Watch4 Classic on August 19 can get the earbuds at 50 percent off.
